Collectors from around the world rely on Judy’s appraisal skills and on her expertise in finding rare pieces. Judy is a collector of trade beads, baskets and antiquarian books about northwest coast native art and history.

Judy’s collection of several hundred native cedar baskets is on display in the gallery. " The older baskets are more valuable because basket materials, such as cedar roots and swamp grasses, are not as available as in the past.

Also the craft is not being passed on because manufactured items are more practical now."
